Garage Conversions
If you are looking to add an extra bedroom or a spare kitchen to your home, converting your garage to a bedroom or kitchen can be an easy way to have extra living space. If you have the luxury of space, consider multiple uses for your converted garage. An extra bedroom will always need an attached bath, so allow for additional plumbing expenses. A home cinema will need extensive rewiring of the garage. A larger kitchen will need heavy duty appliances, like a freezer and therefore, may need additional wiring.
Check with your local Pittsburgh, PA area building authorities about special requirements that are needed for a garage conversion. For instance, if your garage conversion affects the drainage system, you may need to apply for special permits. If in doubt, ask for the advice of your surveyor. The time to get your permits in place is before you start work on the project.

We have an existing garage that was an office. Had some mold damage and need new drywall for the intire 20 x 20 space. Some of the wood framing will also need to be replaced. Looking for a licensed and insured contractor to complete with new flooring as well.
